At the moment, INSPECT is not very useful for Vision machines, as without seeing the camera view, then the manual alignment features are impossible to position.

As more and more customers are asking us to scan (with a probe) all features, they also got their standards for using the filters in scanning. In those standards, they also ask for a specific UPR which relates to the current diameter. For example, Ø8 and smaller require a UPR setting of 15. Ø8-Ø25 require UPR 50 etc.

I'd like to add this as a smart parameter in the Measurement Strategy Editor to make sure we also use the correct settings.

Add more tools to easy manipulate the CAD; Sometimes I get the Model with crazy angles, and it is too complicate to transform it

In the home page when I create a new file, I can not save my new file routine on a folder choosing by me.

Beacause I think there is a default folder already defined by PC-DMIS, but it is a folder that is located in an APPdata folder. This means we have to copy to the folder we want.

Can you do an improvement so that I can choose a folder to save my file?

Add a search bar for settings at the top of the software.

I can't tell you how long I have had to search for Excel Form Report, analysis, screen capture to file, etc.

Problem:

The group function is often used to keep the routine tidy and organized.

But when you have "collapsed" groups in your measurement routine, the search function doesn't show matches inside of them. The user needs to open all groups first to use the search.

This is very time-consuming. Inexperienced users may not know that they have to open the groups first.

Solution:

Add a checkbox to the search function called "Search inside groups" or similar.

When checked, the search function also looks inside groups for matches.

I would like to see an option where we can adjust the distance between multiple rings when checking a radial auto plane. We of course have the option to adjust the size of the rings but, to my knowledge, don't have the option to adjust the distance between.

On initialization of the Optic measuring device, the camera is always zoomed completely on maximum zoom.

This makes it hard to find my piece. I first need to zoom out completely, before I can start. 

For me, I prefer to start with zoom on minimum, but maybe someone likes to start with zoom on maximum.

Can there be an update where we can have that choice?

Allow editing location of dialog boxes from within PCDMIS rather than only from the settings editor. Or at least make a button to bring them to center of screen. EX: operator moved the execution dialog box off the screen by accident, the only way to correct this is to go into the setting editor and manually change the location.
