Ability to use Multiple Print Commands with different formats.

davehocum 5 years ago in Metrology Software / PC-DMIS updated 5 years ago 1

Ability to use Multiple Print Commands with different formats.

Reason for request:

When using Print Commands to print one RTF report and another Print Command to print a PDF.
The end results is two PDF reports.

Example:

PRINT/REPORT,EXEC MODE=END,$
TO_FILE=ON,OVERWRITE=C:\Users\Public\Documents\Hexagon\PC-DMIS\2020 R2\Test Print Commands\test.RTF,AUTO OPEN=OFF,$
TO_PRINTER=OFF,COPIES=1,$
TO_DMIS_REPORT=OFF,FILE_OPTION=INDEX,FILENAME=,$
REPORT_THEORETICALS=NONE,REPORT_FEATURE_WITH_DIMENSIONS=NO,$
TO_EXCEL=OFF,$
PREVIOUS_RUNS=KEEP_INSTANCES
CS1 =REPORT/TEMPLATE, FILENAME= TEXTONLY.RTP, Section=-1,REPORTMODE=INSERT
PARAM/=
ENDREPORT/
PRINT/REPORT,EXEC MODE=END,$
TO_FILE=ON,OVERWRITE=C:\Users\Public\Documents\Hexagon\PC-DMIS\2020 R2\Test Print Commands\test.PDF,AUTO OPEN=OFF,$
TO_PRINTER=OFF,COPIES=1,$
TO_DMIS_REPORT=OFF,FILE_OPTION=INDEX,FILENAME=,$
REPORT_THEORETICALS=NONE,REPORT_FEATURE_WITH_DIMENSIONS=NO,$

2020 R2 Profile - CAD graphic analysis improvement

Jacob Cheverie 5 years ago in Metrology Software / PC-DMIS updated by Neil Challinor 2 years ago 3

In 2020 R2, the calculations/interpretations of profile tolerances have changed. The idea now, for a unilateral tolerance, is that the tolerance zone is offset from the nominal surface an appropriate amount and the zone is expanded/contracted until the surface is "snug".

I created a simple example. Offline, I created an external cylinder. I requested the profile of the surface with [.xxx U 0]. I turned on CAD graphic analysis and the tolerance zone is still centered on nominal. What's worse is that the deviation shows toward the wrong extreme of the zone.

Can this feature be improved so that the graphic analysis of the zone is shifted and the deviation can be shown properly?

Image 429

As you can see, at [.xxx U 0], the outer edge would be at the extreme outer edge of the zone. PC-DMIS is showing it at the inner edge.

Highlight the associated features when the cursor is on a dimension command

Highlight the associated features when the cursor is on a dimension command so that people can easily find out which feature is out of spec.

Animation of a part program should be more realistic

frank herr 6 years ago in Metrology Software / PC-DMIS updated by neil kay 6 years ago 0

We should improve PC-DMIS form a graphical animation of a mesurement routine to a kinematic simulation. Then we can also check execution times and we can see also different speeds betwenn a move and a measurment inside of a feature.

Intervention limit for selected nominal dimension comparisons

U W 6 years ago in Metrology Software / PC-DMIS updated by neil kay 6 years ago 0
It is only possible to define one action limit (e.g. 80% or 90%), which is then effective for all characteristics in the measuring program.
Required: Define a separate action limit for each individual characteristic in the measuring program.
e.g: Characteristic 1 --> intervention limit 85%
Characteristic 2--> no intervention limit
Characteristic 3--> intervention limit 70%

z.B.: Merkmal 1 --> Eingriffsgrenze 85%
Merkmal 2--> keine Eingriffsgrenze
Merkmal 3--> Eingriffsgrenze 70%

"Right click delete" to remove an unwanted Windows Layout icon

Trevor McLaughlin 6 years ago in Metrology Software / PC-DMIS updated by neil kay 6 years ago 1

Deleting an unwanted Windows Layout icon should be more intuitive.

A user should be able to simply right click and choose "delete" in a context menu to remove, not Shift-Left Mouse Click and drag away. I'd also like to be able to rearrange the order the icons appear in the toolbar.

Intersection points between curve and plane

Daniel Ströbel 7 years ago in Metrology Software / PC-DMIS updated by neil kay 6 years ago 0

At the moment when you construct an intersection point between plane and curve only the first intersection point (PNT1) will be construct. (see Picture 1)

We are needed every intersection point between curve and plane (PNT2 and PNT3). (see Picture 2)

Collision Detection Speed Slide Adjustment Bar During Simulation

Jurgis Rudkus 7 years ago in Metrology Software / PC-DMIS updated by Neil Ryan 2 years ago 4
Instead of having to go into a menu and change the similation speed, it would be nice for there to be a slide bar that you can adjust during simlation. That way you can speed up in areas that you know are clear, and slow down in super tight areas. I know that if it clears once, it will clear a thousand times, but some machines act a bit different.

Default feature color

V Maglov 7 years ago in Metrology Software / PC-DMIS updated by neil kay 6 years ago 0

I'd like to suggest a feature - to add an option to set the default colors for different types of features - i.e. by default every time i create a constructed feature its color on the cad model to be yellow and every time i create an auto feature its color to be red etc.
I am asking for this feature because atm whenever i start a new program or open an existing one by default all features are black and even if i set it manually the way i want it every feature i add to the program after i have set my colors is shown in black no matter where in the program i add the feature.
Also id like to suggest a global option for adjusting the features' colors for all programs because i would really like to avoid setting the colors for 1300+ programs manually one by one.
IMPO this would be extremely convenient if such an option is added to PC DMIS.
