Hexagon Measurement SystemsNo matter what Hexagon measurement equipment or software you use, we want to hear your ideas and suggestions on how we can improve.
Thanks for your assistance in helping us shape the future. |
Optical flatness measurement
We often have to measure very small optical flatnesses on contact surfaces.
Here it would be useful if I had to Focus with once window only.
Simply define the measurement window and the division of the measuring range analogous to the measuring method from Werth GmbH.
Add polar/catersian toggle to measured features
Offer the same simple way to swap measured features between polar and cartesian coordinates, as is possible in auto features.
Min-Max Radius
Canned dimensional support for:
-Measuring a fixed radius then measuring an average point back to it's center point.
-Measuring a fixed radius then reporting out the high and the low points back to center and giving a max and min radius.
Scanning with the ability to lasso CAD points when picking Boundary points
The ability to lasso CAD points when picking your Boundary points when creating your scan
Probe prioritizing in loops
When I create a part loop for 100 parts I would like the ability to run probe 1 on all 100 parts before switching to probe 2 and starting at part 1 again with the correct alignment. If i create both probes in same loop program it takes more time changing probes than it does checking each part. The loop does create the alignments like this ABC[1] right now but once out of the loop and switching to probe 2 their is no way to recall alignment ABC[1] and start from part 1 thru 100 again. This would eliminate having to create external alignments using variables.
Backup with Protect
Add a backup folder to the Set Search Path list. When program is protected also back it up to the backup folder.
Target Dimension Modifier (Support for Assignments).
The ability to modify targets without effecting alignment changes.
Currently if I mirror a program or change an alignment - my target formula does not change it's nominal value. Therefore the CMM drives to the wrong place. Sometimes by 1000's of mm. Because this is not supported in this way our company frowns upon the use of assignments.
Window Layout Toolbar
Add the Ability to reposition the Restored Saved Layout Icons within the Windows Layouts Toolbar.
Example:
Reposition and Delete Saved User Layouts
To Reposition or delete a saved user layout:
1. Right-click on the toolbar area, and select Customize. The Customize dialog box appears.
2. Press and hold the Shift key on your keyboard.
3. Click and hold the mouse over the icon on the Window Layouts toolbar. The icon becomes movable.
4. Drag the icon outside of the toolbar's boundaries to delete or move to new location within the toolbar.
5. Release the mouse button.
At PC-DMIS startup; Add a (MACHINE HOME) icon to menu screen.
The ability to home the machine at the start of a new work shift should be part of the standard menu features. You should not have to completely shut the machine down to home out the machine. No matter how up to date and complex the new software packages become it is always a good practice to home the machine.
