Spring Back Value not to be applied to 1st Straight

Liviu 6 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by neil kay 5 years ago 2

After calculating and saving the Spring Back Value we can use this calculations to correct the LRA of a new nominal tube.

The only thing that TubeShaper is applying the spring back correction to the 1st straight.

This is the only straight that has no elongation error, because  the rotation and the bending angle are applied from the second one forward. Actually the TS is correcting the tube on the 1st straight, and after the 1st measurement he bring's it back close to the nominal.

If we don't apply SPE correction on the 1st straight, the customer has to do 1 correction less and he has 1 less scraped tube.

CALRA

Alexander Schneeberger 6 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by neil kay 5 years ago 0

Switching from LRA- to ALRA-values is possible just by one click. Not for the corrected values. For those of us who work with ALRA-values, this would be crucial to use the full  functionality of TubeShaper. thanks

Make a way where you can rename the project easily. i.e right click then rename project.

mthomas 6 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by anthony vianna 3 years ago 2

The only way to rename the file is to save as then delete the old one. There should be a way to right click then rename the project like you can do with normal files in Windows Explorer.

Add tools button to reverse engineer tube section

michael mazzaferri 7 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by anthony vianna 3 years ago 1

Can we get a tools button that take the user to the tools area to measure a tube bend radius and dia instead of having customer close out of reverse eng screen to get bend rad and dia.

Add image import capability for comments

Jordan 7 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by neil kay 5 years ago 1

It would be nice to add images to comments in TubeShaper (like in PCDMIS).  Especially to help with setup instructions for operators.

I would like to see the sum of bend angles and the sum of bend rotations in report. Nominal values.

Add IP point distances

sebastiaan kuiper 7 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by neil kay 5 years ago 2

Add an option to have a table in the report showing 3D distances between Intersection points.

IP1 > IP2

IP2 > IP3

etc

Change the coloring of the coordinate system to the conventionally used XYZ=RGB.

George Koskinas 7 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by neil kay 5 years ago 1

The currently-used coloring, XYZ=BGR, is very confusing for most 3D CAD software users.

Projects listing area - ability to support folders (file explorer)

George Koskinas 8 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by neil kay 5 years ago 1

For efficient file storage and organization. Currently the only way to keep projects organized (i.e. by customer name, tube identification, tube family, etc) is to give them very long titles/filenames.

Report options should be applied to exported text (csv) file too.

George Koskinas 8 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by neil kay 5 years ago 2 1 duplicate

The report options are currently applied to (1) the built-in saved report, (2) the exported-to-PDF report, and (3) the direct print report. They are not applied to the export-to-CSV report, which contains the full data regardless of the report-options selected.
