Repeatability and correctness of measurements of angles above 150 degrees

Denis 3 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper 0

Why is there no stability and repetition of measuring angles greater than 150 degrees? When measuring them, the length of the tube being measured and the straight sections at the bending point are constantly changing. Is there a detailed instruction for achieving stable operation when measuring configurations with angles of more than 150 degrees? Is it possible to make a threshold for measuring the angle from 120 degrees? Contact for communication +79051832483 whatsapp, viber.

TubeShaper - Multiple Tubes in The Same Project

Michael Thurston 4 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated 3 years ago 2

I need to create and inspect multiple tube assemblies in TS.  I could this very easily in DOCS with the A / B End tool feature.  I have lost the ability to have multiple tubes in the same project, I cannot do that now with TS that replaced DOCS.  We manufacture rubber tubes so we are a little different than a steel tube manufacturer.

How to measure the angle of 170 degrees? straight sections on both sides lengthen. the bend is in the middle of the pipe configuration. Is it possible to measure the U-shaped bend?

Be able to calculate either 3d or 2d angles

alexander blodgett 4 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by neil kay 4 years ago 0

When calculating angles current method does not inform user which angle is being calculated.  Need ability to differentiate which angle is being calculated 3d or2D from axis view similar to current distance options.

Reporting - add XYZ total difference

George Koskinas 4 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by NSF_TUN 3 years ago 2

When reporting XYZ data (nominal, measured, deviation), users wish to have an extra line/column giving the total XYZ difference for each intersection-point, calculated from the square root of the sum of the squares of the individual X, Y, and Z tolerance values (i.e., XYZ Total Difference = sqrt[(X^2)+(Y^2)+(Z^2)]).

Report .CSV

Fouquet Jérôme 5 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by neil kay 4 years ago 0

Hello

Many of our customers want an excel output report (. CSV), but today only data is visible. Is it possible to make (in the next version) an automatic report in excel (with the logo, the customer's address, the image of the tube, etc....)

Kind regards

Make tubeshaper support more non-round geometries. (square/rectangle)

Christian Grindle 5 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by anthony vianna 3 years ago 6

We are a job shop that does everything under the sun, tubes being no exception.  We really need tubeshaper to be able to measure non round geometries.  Round tubes are only half of our tube product mix.     Please help!!!

Match/Highlight fields to bubble markers in graphic display

trung van 6 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by neil kay 4 years ago 0

Example, have the ability to click on the LRA, CLRA, TP data field in each row to zoom or highlight the respective nodal bubble marker displayed in the tube graphic.  This can be handy when inspecting and finding out of tolerance values, to look up where that corresponding value might be located on the tube in the graphic display.

Multiple tube diameter steps

Moose 6 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by neil kay 4 years ago 0

We do a lot of multiple diameter tubes that start with a smaller diameter and step up multiple times.  I am currently working on one that has 4 different diameters for each bend.  These tubes are usually constructed of single bends and it would be great to be able to measure the tube against the CAD to make sure we had the rotations correct.
