PC-DMIS Customize process needs a total rebuild
PC-DMIS Customize process needs a total
rebuild. Example: The User Defined Commands that will create numerous copies of the same
customize commands. This has been an ongoing problem for years now. And a much needed improved workflow is a must.
Here is an example. Look at the caption below and you can see that there is two Move Feature commands.
I have lots more examples if needed.
Basic dimension added to profile with form and location.
when doing a profile with form and location add a check box for the basic location.
Use pop up window for feature calculation errors
Automatic Point Set
I want to be able to select multiple CAD surfaces and have PC-DMIS
automagically create vector points on those surfaces based on a predefined set
of parameters. For example, I want three points, equally spaced within .05"
diameter tolerance zone, at random locations, at no less than .100" from the
edge of the surface(s).
Allow Filtered Simplified command mode view
Command mode, exposing all parameters, can result in very lengthy routines, but it is fast to make edits. Summary mode was intended as a simplified view, but is seen as too slow to traverse into the tree to find the parameter to make edits. This is especially true when a lot of values are changing.
It has been requested (by a customer - I'm filing this on their behalf) that having a button on command mode - to only show important parameters by default (XYZ, IJK) - so each command is only a couple of lines long. To see all parameters, you would click the button, in order to see all the parameters (as now).
It is possible that such an enhancement could also include adding the icons you get in Summary Mode - to help commands stand out.
We're interested to see how many votes this idea would attract.
