Hexagon Measurement SystemsNo matter what Hexagon measurement equipment or software you use, we want to hear your ideas and suggestions on how we can improve.
Thanks for your assistance in helping us shape the future. |

Ability to transfer the configurations from one cmm to another without having to configure INSPECT on each cmm individually.
Unless I overlooked that ability, I haven't found a way yet. We have 10 cmms that currently use STI and transferring one STI menu file to all cmms so the STI menu is the a same on all cmms is very efficient.

Surface scan following the curve on the surface
I would like the option to scan the surface following an irregular, or made up of geometric shapes curve (red) that is on that surface all the way around (sample on the picture)

Start program dialog
PCDMIS should have some customisable deafult run program dialog. For general data inputing before measurment starts, like Operator, machine, sample number, reason for measurtment, etc.
Those dialog shoud be changeable with some Scripting editor or throu some ini file.

Have the recent file menu show the last 10 programs executed instead of just the last 4.
Shouldn't be that hard to do. Lets get it done for 2017 guys.

Add values for assignments
It would be great to add .PA, .PR in extensions for hits, arrays (...)in assignments.

Allow theoretical numbers to be locked on individual features
Allow theoretical numbers to be locked on individual features making it possible to prevent them from changing. This would give us a more elegant solution than turning a theoretical number into an expression by dividing by 1.

Create an actual model from a point cloud
I would like actually create surfaces based on a point cloud

Offer a multi-execute capability so you can get it to execute a specified Measurement Routine 'n' times
....like the MultiExecute Wizard can do.

Summary mode
Bring back the summary mode of 2020 R2. You can keep the color scheme you have if you want. But not being able to hover the dimensions and seeing the results is very annoying. What even is the point of summary mode now??

Auto Features for Continuous Features (CF)
Allow a simple solution for creating auto features that per the current ASME standard are selected as continuous features (CF). I would recommend adding a CF button within the feature edit window to allow you to select the required features as well as a hotkey. To make it easier for the user the software should recognize what features are continuous.
This will help simplify the path optimization for Auto Features. Example: If you are measuring a continuous plane that has many interruptions you can now globally adjust the parameters and you don't have to construct a scan of all the individual features.
This would also be a good move since the popular metrology software Zone3 already has the ability to select multiple CAD surfaces as a CF.
