How to measure the angle of 170 degrees? straight sections on both sides lengthen. the bend is in the middle of the pipe configuration. Is it possible to measure the U-shaped bend?

GD&T Full blown version

Frank T. 5 years ago in Metrology Software / PC-DMIS updated by Krishna Chaitanya Velisetty 4 years ago 2

GD&T capture is very impressive with Trupo callouts. Would like it to include everything from a print.  Distance, Basic, Notes, Find numbers and Database Ballooning.  Name the feature with the GD&T.  Then output into AS9100 format Excel file.

Probe results – automatically alarm for excessive deviation from theoretical/previous measured results

Dbolt 5 years ago in Metrology Software / PC-DMIS updated by neil kay 5 years ago 0
It would be useful to have an alarm pop up on calibrating tip angles that would trigger when the deviation between the theoretical and the measured value exceeds a set limit (user defined by probe file) and/or the measured value changes more than a set amount (user defined by probe file) from the previous measured value.

This would make it easier for operators to notice and react to issue like bent tips or failed indexing of the probe head.

Be able to calculate either 3d or 2d angles

alexander blodgett 5 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by neil kay 5 years ago 0

When calculating angles current method does not inform user which angle is being calculated.  Need ability to differentiate which angle is being calculated 3d or2D from axis view similar to current distance options.

Angle Point Improvement

Kingsld1 5 years ago in Metrology Software / PC-DMIS updated by Václav Duchan 3 years ago 3

Make it possible to create an angle point using CAD when there is a radius between the two surfaces.

This comes up on nearly every molded part I measure and on most sheet metal parts.

User Interface could be to click on the first surface like it is currently done. If there is a radius (or empty space) between the two surfaces, press Alt and click on the second surface, then click on Create. Have the first click define where the angle point is to be taken at. If there is no radius then just click on Create and process as currently done.

Basic Script Editor

jason beaudoin 5 years ago in Metrology Software / PC-DMIS updated by neil kay 5 years ago 1

an overhaul/update of the basic script editor portion of the software would boost the

automation capabilities.

a more comprehensive help file with examples and add "intellisense" the the script editors

tool kit would allow more users to learn scripting and therefore develop programming methods

and custom scripts to automate.

Reporting - add XYZ total difference

George Koskinas 5 years ago in Metrology Software / TubeShaper updated by NSF_TUN 4 years ago 2

When reporting XYZ data (nominal, measured, deviation), users wish to have an extra line/column giving the total XYZ difference for each intersection-point, calculated from the square root of the sum of the squares of the individual X, Y, and Z tolerance values (i.e., XYZ Total Difference = sqrt[(X^2)+(Y^2)+(Z^2)]).

Request originated from North America.

Make scan windows resizable

Gábor Tóth 5 years ago in Metrology Software / PC-DMIS updated by neil kay 5 years ago 0

Idea3:

Linear open scan window and all scanning window is also work with fixed size.

Image 363

The boundary points area is too small.  Usually we have 3 rows, but this small window only shows 2 rows.
I suggest if you only increase your line by 1 line, you would no longer have to scroll...

Initial Vectors area is same...

I would suggest that if you make those windows adjustable then the boundary points area and Initial Vectors area should be change with the window growth size.
