Have the clearance cube wrap around the form of the part instead of a cube that has deadspace in it
This would save lots of time for some parts. Think of it like the shield from the Dune movies. The clearcube should form around the part

I work with a lot of lathe parts. Square clearance cubes are a little overkill. Your idea is probably better. Parts with large cavities would be much easier to run.
Having the ability to select the cad from the CAD Assembly drop down as well, would be a benefit
