Require Tracker Field Checks on a scheduled basis, or at least notify Operator
Is there a way to force field checks on a schedule basis, otherwise the tracker will not measure? Or to at least send a forced notification?
File backup/restore from Trackers (Compensations, Probe/Tips)
1. If I comp a t-probe tip on one tracker, for a t-probe that will be used on multiple trackers, is there a way to upload that new tip definition to the other trackers through SFx?
2. Can we auto-export all calibration and compensation files to store on an offline server?
HAVE THE ABILITY TO LAYER YOUR DIMENSIONS AND FEATURES
When programming have the option to group features and dimensions to different layers or work groups.
Example: Left hand dimensions - Right hand dimensions
These could be in separate groups and you can bring them into the screen either together or individually.
You should be able to have as many layers as you want. So another example of you had a grid of 100 holes you could layer them as different groups top middle and back.
Have the option to easily group the dimensions under a specific name.
If you have a vast amount of features and dimensions this would make it much easier to dimension features.
I have seen this implemented with other CMM software's which work very well.
Addition inside each auto feature dialog box regarding dimension name
Please add inside each auto feature dialog box under the feature name another box to name the corresponding dimension so that you do not have to close the box and name the dimension then reopen the auto feature box
Show / hide button in Edit Window for dimensions to see CAD grafical analysis
Similar to show / hide features you'll be able to easily toggle CAD grafical analysis if needed instead of editing the dimension.
Use multiple print commands in a row_make more intuitive
Currently...
If you use the PRINT commands to create digital inspection reports & you want to create multiple copies of the same report & send it multiple places....We have to mess around with different printing templates OR have the PCD use COPY commands to copy the pdf it makes from one folder to another...
What we'd like...
The ability to use multiple print commands in a row inside of PC DMIS.
For example:
`
`
`
Program
`
`
`
Dimensions
`
print command 1 (send to C/blahblah/Location1
print command 1 (send to C/blahblah/Location2
print command 1 (send to C/blahblah/Location3
print command 1 (send to C/blahblah/Location4
print command 1 (send to C/blahblah/Location5
Histogram function for profiles of surface
Add the ability to display a histogram of all deviations for a profile of surface dimension. Previous functionality was lost during the transition to the new GD&T system.
previously; you were able to do this by either displaying the 'report graph' then modifying its template in the report to the 'dimension histogram', or by adding in a 'dimension histogram' to a custom report, then dropping various dimensions (such as profiles of surface) onto the object in the report and have the deviations displayed as a histogram relative to the tolerance zone.
Particularly helpful when the majority of the surface is in tolerance, but there may be only a few outliers that fall on heavy rads/burrs/fod. Gives you a better sense than just the graphical display, or the textual one.
