Add a possibility to cancel searching of global used probes

YES!  or at least a prompt box to re-alert you that this devastating option was chosen.

Even moving the button or changing the color of it would help greatly!

Was it somehow considered? 

Typically the way it works, people will vote on topics - slowly as people move their votes around 'hot topics' float to the top and the team hexagon team tries to consider them.  If any action is started they typically will mark it as such.

I’m surprised no one has taken an interest in this for seven years. This is a genuine UX bug or a trap. It has happened to several of our colleagues many times, especially when they’re in a hurry. When thousands of measurement routines are being accessed, you have no choice but to wait or force-close PC-DMIS, with no way to save your current routine.

Btw:  it gets even worse when you have routines saved in older, incompatible version formats that cannot be processed. You then get additional messages that you have to dismiss manually.
