Make clearance cube “clearance offset”

I work with large cylindrical parts. Clearance Offset would be more practical in my application. I cannot use clearance cube, coming completely out of a part to do a wrist rotation isn't practical. Nor is it practical to move in away from the part at any 45° increment. I spend a lot of time programming in "moves". This would save me a ton of time!
