Edit function the coordinate system priority PLP alignment. (1.Point 2.Line 3.Plane)

Currently the PLP alignment priority is plane-line-point.
if can be customized priority, points can be origin.

Hello Hiroto San-
We currently don't have any plans to change the order of our PLP (Plane, Line, Point) alignments.  Wouldn't a PLC (Plane, Line, Circle) alignment work in this case?  If so, the 3rd parameter - circle (in your case a point) becomes the origin.    -Glenn

Hello Glenn-san,

Thank you for the feedback. The many customers would like to make a circle using only non-contact probe.(Ex: A-end IP1) We will happy if can make a circle from a Tube cylinder and A plane.   Best regards, Hiroto

Hello Hiroto San-
The above reply should really be a new User Echo Idea of it's own.  We didn't discuss it on our call today because we didn't see it under this story.  I could copy the text myself into a new user echo idea, but then User Echo wouldn't show you as the originator of the idea and you wouldn't be notified.  Can you create a new user Echo story for this?  Basically you are just asking for a "Constructed circle from a cylinder and plane", correct?  Thanks,  -Glenn

Hello Hiroto San -
The team discussed this further today.  We don't currently have a constructed circle from a plane and cylinder.  But, we suspect that you could get what you need by creating a constructed point from the cylinder's center-line and the plane.   Would that solve the issue for you?  If not, can you tell us why the constructed point would not work for you?  We are worried about the fact that the plane and cylinder are not likely at 90 degrees to each other an thus, you don't get a true circle, but rather an ellipse.
Can this idea be closed?  -Glenn

Hello Glenn-san,

Thank you for the message. The customer would like to make a origin point of S2-TP1 (at between S1-S5). Because they want to evaluate as same them 2D drawing coordinate systems.
So if can change a priority, I thought it is easy.

Best regards,

Hiroto

Hello Hiroto-san,
The Tubeshaper team isn't able to change the priority in the standard PLP alignment, as in most cases that's not a valid thing to do.   Could you create a plane that included your intersection point, and then a line that included the point as well, and then finally construct a standard PLP alignment?  We're not sure what you mean by the 2D drawing system.  Could you send us a drawing / cad file?  Thanks,

    -The TubeShaper team.

Hello Glenn-san,

I understand that create a plane and intersection point.
This is just one idea to Tube Shaper. Currently the customer changed a 2D origin point location few month ago.

Best regards,
Hiroto
