program mode mouse button combo for end feature
In program mode, programming on cad, create a mouse button combo that would create the feature instead of having to hit end on the keyboard
Maybe left + right mouse button clicked together

You could use quick features and just setup your measurement strategy. You can hold down shift and create features without hitting end or hold ctrl+shift to create points.
If you are just creating a lot of points go to F5>General>*check* point only mode and Find Nominals. *Uncheck* use measurement strategy widget and shift click to your hearts desire
