Leitz Senmation / PC-DMIS compatability

Julian 3 years ago in Hardware / Sensors 0

Why cant PC-DMIS control all of the senmation options? I should not need quindos . it puts a burden on the ability to stay with Leitz when I need more options. ZEISS runs all of theirs seamlessly in Calypso..I want my Leitz to do that!!

Rotatable spacer for TP20 star probes

Kingsld1 3 years ago in Hardware 0

I've never been a fan of star probes. Not to say that I haven't used them. It's more that I haven't figured out the trick to consistently and easily orient the 'star' on a TP 20 setup. Worked with a Zeiss with a Vast head for a few years. That was somewhat manageable. Seems to me that you would need some kind of hardware solution for this. Some kind of rotatable element to go in between the TP20 and your probe head. Wouldn't have to rotate 360 degrees. 90 degrees of rotation would probably be enough.

Probe head B angles only

Bill Kulpa 4 years ago in Hardware / Coordinate Measuring Machines updated by neil kay 4 years ago 0

This is a hardware request only.

I'd like to have a probe head with only B angles for rotation of star probes.

Motorized probe magazine

Bill Kulpa 5 years ago in Hardware / Coordinate Measuring Machines updated by ALBERT706 4 years ago 4

Develop a motorized probe magazine much like every machining center has.

That way it could be mounted in the dead space at the end of the Y axis of most machines.

When a probe change is needed PC-DMIS would move the machine to a predetermined point for that port, the port would extend to the Z rail and unload or load a new probe. This would allow better use of the measuring envelop and enable use of that dead space at the end of the machine.

Automatic sensor in probe changer

Bill Kulpa 6 years ago in Hardware / Coordinate Measuring Machines updated 1 year ago 1

Have a proximity switch or LVDT in the probe changer to automatically tell PC DMIS which docking ports that have probe assignments are empty.
