A function / icon inside PC-Dmis to change from online / offline.
Let say you have more than one program running and you switch between them and want to do a test run program by program...

Customer support service by UserEcho
This feature should have been added to the UI years ago.
Keep your fingers crossed...
This would be a powerful tool for support by Teamviewer. So you can stop the connection to controller and the cmm does'nt move! Perfect! Greetings from Germany! Stefan
This would be an amazing feature.
This is also a very convenient way to 'reset' nominals in a program to verify changes etc.. It could be useful to have a button to 'execute offline'
Have visual feedback on screen to show which program has online status (maybe change the color of all title bars to green for online, red for offline?) whilst swapping between programs?
This is a no brainer! I'm surprised this got so many votes over 4 years and isn't part of the software yet.
We will evaluate this item for the 2022.1 release. Obviously the need is there so we'll get a response on this item either way.
Well, here is 2022.1 and still we wait. Just like print commands when choosing two formats, Then the request to change the routine from inches to metric (Posted five years ago here) and so many more requested changes.
Yes, there have been some great improvements over the years. Why is it taking so long to make these other requests.
On the other hand, I can see severed probe heads, broken styluses and other chaotic stuff if you don't ask the operator with a gazillion message boxes... or in some way really making sure the operator knows what's going on.
What I mean is that there should be some security measures in place.
If we only will be able to go OFFLINE from ONLINE, then we are safe, I guess.
Good point. Shouldn't that be already built-in anyways for safety reasons. I guess what I am getting at is that a operator
still has to select the current connected probe when using a probe changer. If you select the wrong one than the CMM tries to drop off the probe into the wrong changer placement. So switching from online to offline will need a more upfront visual aids to let the operator know that the machine is connected or not. What I am saying is that there are many different ways already in PC-DMIS that can destroy a machine. For example the Measure Now selection in the Auto Features. Yep, that one can destroy a CMM.
Thank you for the request, unfortunately, this is not being considered currently due to the significant effort required to make these changes throughout the product against the believed benefit this would provide to the majority of users.
